A "hands-on" experience is how Fashion
Merchandising teacher Traci Ross described
the four-day trip to the Big Apple.
Sponsored by National DECA, "ten stu-
dents were given a chance to view some of the
real world aspects of a career," said Ross .
Activities ranged from touring campuses
such as the Institute of Technology, seeing the
Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, and shop-
ping on Fifth Avenue. ''I'm glad I got a
chance to take a trip such as this. It not only
broadened my knowledge of the fashion in-
dustry, but it also enlightened me on what the
business world was like," said Junior Gail
Gardner about the $300 student-paid trip.
Along with a major class trip, students
were exposed to yet another experience.

Ivy, and Traci Ross joined the department.
Another change was minor. The once
Advanced Office Procedures class was given
the new title of Business Systems and Proce-
