since elementary school.
Senior Kelli Mahoney said," lt was
fun to get ready because I got to have
my nails and hair done, my dress made,
and all of those other things that you
normally don't do. All of that just set the
mood for the night."
After all of that was finished, the
date began. Of course, there were the
usual camera fests with the parents.
Senior Traci Gleason said," My
mother was camera happy. She took a
role of thirty-six and my dad used the
camcorder. Let's just say I'll never be
able to forget this night with all of the
mementos."
Restaurants all around Omaha
had booming businesses as teenagers
gathered with friends for a fun and ro-
mantic evening.
Senior Mindy Bush said,"My date
and I had to wait awhile to eat, but it was
well worth it because we had a chance
-to chat with friends around us and the
people sitting next to us even treated us
to drinks ."
The dance began at nine, and
after dinner most couples headed to-
wards UNO for the moment everyone
was waiting for. The theme, A Knight In
Shining Armor, was carried throughout
the dance room by the junior class board
who had decorated that morning. Bright
pinks , silvers, and blacks set a mood of
festivities as friends gathered to dance
the night away.
With the company of friends,
the mood of the evening, and the deco-
rations provided by the junior class board,
prom turned out to be a night to re-
member.
