Students spent hours every night completing ass ign-
ments and doing homework which helped them understand
their studies better.

"Assignments that are in the math book are the best
because the odd numbers are in the back of the book. Th e
positive to doing homework is that doing it helps it stick in your
head, but the negative is that it's rea lly time consuming," Shaw
said .
Others said it helped them understand the materials
better.
"Homework was good because it often gave students
extra practices for their learning. Sometimes teachers' lectures
did not provide enough information for us to understand, so
we needed homework. Worksheets were good also, because
they required us to think more deeply," sophomore Didi Lai
said .
Some homework was enjoyed, some was
dreaded. However, the rewards were high for those who chose
to follow through with it.
