                           Though  school  involves  things li ke  sports, friends,


                    and  extracurricular activities, there was no  way stu-

                    dents were  able  to ignore  their academics;  however,  the


                     importance of academics varied among  students.

                           \\Academics  influence  my life because  I want to do


                    well . !.spend  six hours a day at school,  so why  waste all

                    that time?" senior Linds.ay_M.arron  said.


                           Good grades didn't JUSt  appear  on  report cards,

                    they were earned. Students le.arned  techniques to


                    study and  used the ones that best fit them.

                           \II  just study the night before a test. If I try and


                    study before that, I won't remember it/' sophomore Ann .a

                    Thr.asher  said.


                           Even  though freshman AJ  Muench  felt academics


                    were  important to help  him  decide future plans,  he  was

                    still  getting used to the demands of classes.

                           \II  don't study as much  as I should,  JUSt  about five


                    minutes before the  test/' Muen ch  said.

                           Whether studying for hours or minutes,  many


                    agreed thatacademics  were still of high  import.
