their vocal music performances.
The vocalists take their concerts very senously
and performing on stage was what brought one stu-
dent to choir in the first place .
"The concerts are my favorite part of being in
chorus. Stepping out onto the stage IS kind of a rush
and is exciting in its own way. I love seeing the look of
enjoyment on the faces 1n the crowd as we Sing to
them. It helps me relax and helps to make everything
go a lot smoother," junior Nicole Riedl said.
Being 1n choir, however, has other re-
wards besides participating in concerts according to
juni or Kara Hanson.
" I really enjoy being in chorus because people
are extremely nice and you meet new people . Everyone
accepts you, and they really identify With your inter-
ests," Hanson said.
Students put 1n hard work to perfect their
voices. They stayed after school and came in during
other periods. Having tne students' hard work pay off
this year, was very pleasing to teacher Cindy Nabi_ty.
"Our year was full of highlights and
things to be proud of. This year most of the kids
involved in choir were selected for honor choir and both
