D long hours to make enough scenes for seven scene changes. Every year the winter play is a fun, exhausting,

and trying time for its actors and actresses, and this
year was no exception.
This year director Jan Fischer chose the play
"Once in a Llfet1me." The play was about t he change
from silent movies to "talkies" and how the actors and
actresses learned to talk and act.
Two actresses who learned to act and breathe
correctly were jUnior Molly Meyerink and senior
Melan 1e Benesh .
"Breathing IS harder then it loo ks, it took a lot
of work. But it was rewarding to hear the audience
laugh at me and Melanie . And we got a big applause at
the end," Meyerink said.
With everything to learn, including st age posi-
tions and l1nes, being 1n the play became a little stress-
ful.
''Being part of the plc:1y is so exciting, but JS it
comes closer to the performances, the practices
become later, and sometimes I wouldn't get home until
1 0: 30," sen 1or Beth Johnson sa1d .
But nothing cou1 9 stand in the way of pure f un
and excitement.
"The play was some of the most fun I have ever
had, and I made a lot of new friends," freshman Nathan
Fineman said.
Two out of the three performances were at
night time. So on Friday and Saturday n1ght, the
stress was taken off
