  D  long hours to make enough scenes for  seven scene changes.   Every year the winter play  is  a fun,  exhausting,
  cont r~bu ted by  Molly Flynn
                                                         and  trying time for its actors and  actresses, and  this
                                                         year was no  exception.
                                                                This  year director Jan Fischer chose the play
                                                         "Once  in a Llfet1me." The  play was about t he change
                                                         from silent movies to "talkies" and  how the actors and
                                                         actresses learned to talk and  act.
                                                                Two  actresses who  learned to act and  breathe
                                                         correctly  were jUnior  Molly Meyerink and senior
                                                         Melan 1e  Benesh .
                                                                "Breathing IS  harder then it loo ks,  it took a lot
                                                         of work. But it was rewarding to hear the audience
                                                         laugh  at me  and  Melanie . And we  got a big  applause  at
                                                         the end,"  Meyerink said.
                                                                With everything to learn,  including  st age  posi-
                                                         tions and  l1nes,  being  1n  the play became  a little stress-
                                                         ful.
                                                                ''Being  part of the  plc:1y  is so exciting,  but JS it
                                                         comes closer to the performances, the practices
                                                         become  later, and  sometimes  I wouldn't get home until
                                                          1  0: 30," sen 1or Beth Johnson sa1d .
                                                                But nothing cou1 9 stand in  the way of pure  f un
                                                         and  excitement.
                                                                "The  play  was some of the most fun I  have  ever
                                                         had,  and  I  made a lot of new  friends," freshman Nathan
                                                         Fineman said.
                                                                Two  out  of the three performances were at
                                                         night time. So on  Friday and  Saturday n1ght,  the
                                                         stress was taken off
