                             •                                       When Homecoming  roll ed around a certain

                             •  Mario party has way           anticipation see med  to take  ove r.  Some  aspects  of
                                                              the eve ning co uld be  predicted, such as  dancing,
                                more than 2  layers           friends,  and  possibly  a special someone;  but for the
                                                              most  part what the night held was  a co mpletely
                                                              unique sto ry  for each  person,  eac h yea r. Many
                                                              students  were more than happy to share their sto ri es
                                                              from this  past  year.
                                                                     "I won't forget this yea r's  dance  because  I'll
                                                              always  have  the memory of the mista ke that my
                                                              siste r and my friends and  I made of go ing to the  ma ll
                                                              before it sta rted! We had  time to kill, so  we decided
                                                              to head over to  Oakview.  We'll never do that aga in!
                   school
                                                              Not only was  everyone and their mom (literally)
                                                              pointing and  staring,  but they weren't eve n attempt-
                                                              ing to keep their voices down as  they rudely dis-
                                                              cussed our clothing," junior jennifer Hynek sa id.
                                                                     As  always  a theme went hand  in  hand with
                                                              the big night.
                                                                     "I thought this yea r's  theme,  'S uper Mario
                                                              Brothers ',  was  a cool idea,  because  with all  the new
                                                              technology  we've got th ese  days,  it's fun  to look
                                                              back on th e clas sic things  that we grew up with, plus
                                                              the giant vid eo scree n that hung in  the gym went
                                                              perfectly with th e theme," se ni or Ariel Chi sa id.
                                                                     Some  went stag  while others chose  to take
                                                              along a 'hottie',and  so me arri ved  by limo while
                             fun  oth ers were dropped off in  their
                                                              pare nts  station wagon. Some    Seniors Ann Mcinnis
                                                              heated up the dance  floor whil e   and Andrea Kahnk get
                                                              others bonded with the wall.  Each   into the beat of the mu-
                                                              person  had  his  or her own     sic at the Homecoming  .,_..,_,_., ....
                                                              experience, and  many students   dance.  Both added pink
                                                                                               highlights to their hair to
                                                              felt their experience  was ... well   show their own unique
