school work were a few of the many of everyday life in their
things that ca used students stress.
Activities to reli eve stress were necessa ry own special way.
in order for students to make it through
the yea r in one piece.
Sleeping was a key activity when
students wanted to get their minds off of
                    their stress.
ยท " Wheneve r I am stressed out
about a big test the next day, I try not to
crowd my brain down with inform ation... I
have found that I usually do a lot better
when I go to bed earlier and get school off
my mind," junior Adam Muenster sa id.
                            Having friends and family around
to help one out during stressfu l times also
paid off. Being with people and having a
good time made students feel as if they
                     had a lighter loa d.
" When I was trying out for the
chee rl eadi ng team last yea r I was really
stresse d out about not making va rsity.
Lu ckily I had my friends around to
support me. Th ey kept me in a chee ry
mood when I was sca red that I might not
make it," junior Jodi Levine sa id.
                            Another great stress reliever for
                     many students was participating in
                     extracurricul ar activities. Playing sports
games and practicing on musica l
instruments were ways students were able
to forget about their problems for a few
                     hours.
" When I am sick and miss a lot
of school, I get rea lly stressed out because
I end up with a lot of homework when I
already don't fee l good. When this
happens I like to sit down and play my
gu itar beca use it keeps my mind off
things," sophomore Roy O'Neil sa id .
Stress was something that eve ry
person dealt with in his or her own way.
Once it was conquered, life was a blast.
