Walking through the halls, students and staff encountered 25 years
worth of achievement, recognition, and pride displayed throughout the
building. Whether it was a display case full of trophies, state
championship banners hung in the gym, pictures of outstanding sch 9lars,
or a mural of horses stampeding on the wall, students realized the high
standards set before them and were enthusiastic about crifo nlinuin 5 llt
fle~·ar:r that former graduates had left behind.
Monday mornings were different because of a schedule change.
Students had a late start because teachers participated in Professional
Learning Communities and students spent their Mustang Time developing
their Personal Learning Plans . As a result of the late start on Monday, each
school day was extended an extra ten minutes.
Everyone accepted the challenge to make the 25th year a memorable
one. Students dealt with not only the pressure of living up to the school's
high reputation, but also with the question of what would set this year
XXV apart from the rest? What would make the silver anniversary special?
