" I once met a woman with two pairs of glasses and
she was as king for money at the Scottish Rites Hall.
She could have been armed and ready to fight," said
sophomore Chelsea Fisher describing an interesting
ex peri ence she had at a Jenn y Lewis concert.
Concert going was a common acti vity for students.
Annual free concerts at Memorial Park helped students
become acti ve in the Omaha music scene.
Junior Dan Canfield said he enjoyed going to these
shows offered every year. "The concerts are fun because
the music is good and admission is free!" he said.
Technology also impacted the students everyday.
"It's easier to concentrate on homework if I have the
T.V. on," sophomore Angela Weaver said .
Because music became increasin gly popular,
compani es improved their technology to keep up with
the gro win g music industry. For example, the Chocolate
is both a cell ph one and an mp3 player.
Students used technology in their everyday li ves.
Whether it was li stening to the newest band or watch-
ing the evening news techn ology impacted everyone.
