omecoming week kept

everyone busy . Student
council met weekly to
plan the festivities. The football
team psyched themselves up to
beat Ryan.
Leading the list of festivities,
was wig, hat. and tie day,
followed by sweats day. Dress-
ing up like native Hawaiians was
Wednesday's activity. Costume
day was next on the weekly
agenda. To round the week up,
blue and silver day ended the
celebration.
The most participated
event was costume day. This
was a chance to dress in any
kind of costume you wanted.
Some of the popular cos-
tumes were insects, cowboys.
and punk rockers.
At the ยท pep rally, the first
Battle of the Sexes was held with
somewhat unusual events but
there were no winners , just a lot
of good fun .
A pie in the face contest
was held. Mrs . Johnson, French
teacher, was the lucky winner.
French club received $90.00
for having the most money in
their jug.
Appropriately decorating
the gym for the homecoming
theme, "From Seeds to Roses" ,
student council and some volun-
teers put forth a lot of time and
effort to make it nice.

were Star City Players. They
played the theme song " The
Rose" by Bette Midler.
Driving to show spirit, people decorated
their cars for a contest. Junior Steve
Smith was one of the winners .
For a night, Seniors Amy Sullivan and Jeff
Hanson seem to be happy about being
chosen King and Queen. ;
