Showing
Spirit
S
tudent council promoted
·the annual spir it week
with the theme of identity
crisis.
The week began with
'who were your grandpar-
ents;' western day. So-
phomore, Brian Hoffman said,
" I dressed for western day
because I am a cowboy and
wanted to show I had some
spirit ."
It might be hard to believe
that your parents were once
teenagers but they were and
wore flared skirts and duck
tails . Students had a chance
to dress 50's style on the
second day of the week.
Baby day followed and
people came to school
dressed in bunny sleepers and
carrying bottles. Some of the
more daring even wore
diapers.
" We dressed up like twins
because we thought it would
be fun and to show we have
interest in our school spirit ,"
Junior, Jill Hildebrand said
about herself and twin, Susan
lssenberg. On twin day you
may have thought you were
seeing double because friends
got together and planned to
wear matching clothes.
The day that got the most
participation was punk day. "I
dressed up because my girl-
friend dressed punk and it
looked like fun, " said So-
phomore Dave Brezack.
Even though it was not
100 percent participation the
students and faculty that did
take part made it the success
that it was.
Western day was also in the identity
crises week. Seniors Scott McKinley
and Steve Solberg join in the spirit .
