he spring was a busy time of year for
the Music department, both the choral
and instrumental sections.
T On March 8 there was a concert put on
by the Instrumental sections and the strings
department participated at the Beatrice
Spring Festival. Guest conductor was Dr.
Richard Sieber from the University of
Arkansas.
All of the schools larger ensembles
performed at the District Mus ic Contest as
well as soloists.
The bands performed at pep rallies,
parades, concerts, and athletic events. The
choral section of the Mus ic Department
performed at everything from concerts to a
dental convention.
The Music Department had its special
moments too. Seniors will remember Kim
Hopper and Dave Hansen singing "Up Where
We Belong" at Homecoming.
