CBS  Morning  News  anchorwoman
       and  a Kennedy, Maria Shriver,  made news
       herself by marrying strongman and actor
       Arnold  Schwarzenegger in  May  1986.  It
       was  America's  royal wedding, or at least
       the closest the U.S. could come to royalty.
       Many  celebrities turned out for the wed-
       ding,  and of course the Kennedy clan was
       there to see their cousin take her vows,
       including  Senator Ted Kennedy.  Shriver
       had  ten bridesmaids.  Caroline Kennedy,
       who  wed later in  July,  was her maid-of-
       honor.  The wedding took place at the St.
       Francis  Xavier Roman  Catholic Church in
       Cape Cod. The service was at II  a.m.  with
       450 of their closest friends and family at-
       tending. A much larger crowd waited out-
       side  to  catch a  glimpse of  the famous
       groom  and especially the bride in  her Dior
       wedding dress.
