Vacation!!!
It didn 't matter if it was spring, winter,
holidays , or summer break, it was still a vaca-
tion.
"Vacations were a time when we could
get away from the aspects of school," said
Seruor Teri Whaley. Senior Kimberly Huff
agreed, "It was a time to kick back, relax and
party."
Both students and staff looked for-
ward to vacations; not only summer vacations,
but also holiday s, and spring and winter breaks .
"The holiday breaks gave me a chance to spend
more time with my family ," said Mathematics
Teacher Bonnie Hiykel.
During the holiday break, one would
find stores not having what they needed.
"Musicland got really busy during the holiday
season. The store ran out of a lot of tapes and
compact discs," said Juruor Kelli Mahoney.
However, some shoppers found other difficul-
ties while shopping. "I loved shopping, but not
during holidays. The stores got too crowded,"
said Freshman Leslie Golbitz.
Some students used spring, winter,
and summer breaks to travel and spend time
with friends . "I went to New Mexico with my
church youth group to help rebuild homes for
Navaho Indians. It was a great feeling to help
them. I also made many new friends and be-
came closer to the friends I already had," said
Sertior Wendi Hansen.
