twas 3:05 and students were just getting out of school. They not
only had to go home and do a load of homework, but they had to
study for two huge tests. How did they manage their time to get
everything done?
Study hab1ts and time management were a very important part of
getting ready for exams. To get everything finished, some students
required total concentration to study for exams.
"[love to study in my bedroom because 1 know no one will bother or
interrupt me, and it is really comfortable and away from distractions,"
jun1or Michelle Simon said.
On the other hand, some students liked a little distraction to take
away some of the stress.
"[usually listen to music, but 1 have to study alone; otherwise, 1
won't get anything accompli~hed," senior Ryan Callinan said.
Technque in preparation for tests came 1nto play while studying
the night before.
"[ usually read over the chapter the night before the test and
rev1ew my notes," freshman Carrie Pedersen said.
Something else that was very important that affected students
performance was sleep .
"I always try to be in bed by 1 0 o'clock. That way I will get at least
eight hours of sleep, so I am fresh and ready to go the next morning,"
JUnior Bailey Klohs sa1d .
As the day of the test approached, teachers started to make up
the test. Teachers used types of questions that ranged from true and
false to f1111n the blank .
"1 like essays because in an essay you can usually make up enough
stuff to get the right answer," senior Dan Kirchhevel said.
VJhile some students studied with flashcards, and others with
memonzation, most students were usually organized and ready for their
test the next day.
