Th e Bradys,  the Addams, and the infamous
                                                               Sopranos;  as  different as  they may  have  seemed to
                                                               people, they were all  still families. Most students
                            II                                 agreed that, just like those sitcom families, each of
                            •                                  their families were ve ry different from each others,
                                                               but no matter how different, everyone had  some
                            II                                 vers ion of what they ca ll ed  a family, whether they
                                                               liked it or not.
                                                                  Not all  students defined their families by blood.

                                                                 Many students  felt that some of the major
                                                               differen ces  between their families were found in
                                                               their responsibilities and the expectations  their
                                                               families had  for them.

                                                                 "I do a lot of the yard work and chores around
                                                               little brother, but there are a couple of things that
                                                               I'm not expected to do.  My gi rlfriend used  to make
                                                               fun of me all  the time beca use  I didn't iron  my
                                                               clothes.  She  was  like 'If my 11 -year- old siste r ca n
                                                               mow the lawn, then you ca n iron your own
                                                               clothes '; oh well every family has  their own set of
                                                               rul es," sop homore Thane Seely sa id.
                                                                 No matter how a family was  defined, who was  in
                                                               it, and  what va lu es  they  held ; most  students agreed
                                                               that when  all  was  said  and done,  they were glad
                                                               they  had  their family.
                                                                 "My parents might nag and my little siste r gets
                                                               an noying,  but on the flip side,  they always  support
                                                               me,  and they don't judge  me like other  people's
                                                               families do. All  in  all  they're all
                                                               ri ght," freshman Jay  jacobsen   Playing poker with  their

                                                                                              was important to  be
                                                                                              good  role  models.
