Gathered around various desks Campus Connect members continued to embrace one of the main themes of their club.
"We encourage people and let them know that what they do is important and doesn't go unrecognized," junior Elizabeth Stevens said .
Campus Connect members carried on this theme was through writing letters to a solider who was then serving in Iraq .
"I can 't imagine the things they have to go through, and that they are willing to give up everything to help people they don 't even know. " junior

As they sit at various desks writing down on paper one may think that it looks strikingly similar to a normal classroom. Yet, equipped with just
pencil and paper Campus Connect members embody their ideals and make and impact thousands of miles away.

tainer. Then, the blender whirled into action as it startled
a few unsuspecting members.
"When the blender went off that was a crazy moment,
but I'm glad how everything [else] turned out it was a
great trial run ," sophomore Devika Prasanth said.
Huddled around a small cooking slab. Vegetarian
Cooking Club commenced its first meeting in which
members explored the vegetarian foods of India.
"We want to explore different types of vegetarian food
in different parts of world. As when som e peopl e think of
vegetarians they think of veggies and salad but there's
more to it than that," president Sindjua Suresh sa id .
Regardless if members are actual full -time vegetarians,
the club offered participants a chance to diversify their
tastes while teaching cooking skills and having fun .
