The Future Business Leaders of
America chapter ~arne more active and grew
from 23 people to 66 in the last four years .
Field trips such as going to the
mayor's office, the civic center to see 911, the
courts, and enjoying several speakers were ma-
jor activities held. Volunteer work such as
selling doughnuts for Toys for Tots at Christ-
mas was one of many .
One important item that they talked
about and were constantly getting ready for
was the State Leadership Conference that was
held April 4-6. Forty percent of the members
attended . Advisor Theresa Diff said, " Getting
prepared and organized for SLC took up a lot
of our time all year."
The meetings were led by President
John Ulanday who was assisted by Vice Presi-
dent Chrissy Martens, Secretary Amy Kinney ,
Treasurer Tracy Nownes, Reporter Traci Glea-
son, Historian Heather Thomason, and Parlia-
mentarian Suzzie Engdahl.
Besides working hard on fundraisers,
conferences, and field trips , the chapter had a
good time according to Sophomore Jeruty F..ck.
''We always have a lot of fun, since we are all
such good friends and have wonderful spon-
sors."
