Girls ' Track had it all this sea-
son : the endurance it took, the dedi-
cation they needed, an undefeated
.. season, and a first Millard team ever to
take Metro.
State brought two state
champs,including Senior Unhwa Run-
ning in shot put.Senior Ginny Hoefer,
along with Freshman Elisa Koch,Sopho-
mores Kathy Kearns and Andy Felton
took the 3200 relay. As a team, the
mustangs walked away with a second
place victory.
As usual, Hoefer crushed the
competition, and she qualified for the
All -Academic team. Criteria was a 3.0
average and placement in an indi-
vidual or relay at Metro. The relay team
including Hoefer, Koch, Felton, and
Kearns slammed the Metro win setting
a new school record. Hoefer's other
titles included three 3200 individuals at
the Millard South Invite. ''I'm not very
satisfied with settling for average," said

However, all the talent was only
part of the team's success. It took
