With the increase in students came a variety of
talent and the opportunity for improvement which only
meant a bright future ahead toward being a Step Ahead.
The excitement of competition and the final vic-
tory could only be achieved through the dedication and
the striving to be the best. The athletes worked hard at
the long practice before and after school that came with
playing their sport. The
result was being that Step
Ahead.
The teams had to
concentrate on making that
"step" count. The concen-
tration was most apparent
during the challenges of
State, Metro, and District
competitions.
The victory was not
always measurable. Some
victories came within the
athlete. Achieving self
goals as well as team goals
brought the athletes a Step
Ahead.
